We work with different fabrics, they may differ in density and their creation technique, but they almost never differ in composition: the main products of TOSKIN are made of 90-95% (depending on each model) viscose and 5-10% polyurethane fibers (also known as spandex). While viewing the catalog page, you will find the detailed parameters of the fabric composition for each product.
Viscose is a fabric created artificially from natural fibers of plant origin. It attracts with its softness and smoothness of silk, breathable and absorbent properties of cotton, as well as brightness and color durability.
• it's light and soft
• it's hypoallergenic and environmental friendly
• heat–regulating properties (the fabric is thermolabile, perceived as cool in summer, comfortably warm in winter)
• the ability to pass air (good permeability to air molecules allows the body to breathe under the cover of the fabric)
• hygroscopicity (the ability of the material to absorb and release moisture)
• antistatic (the material does not generate static electricity)
• color fastness and brightness
The production technology of artificial fabric fibers from raw natural plant materials was invented in the end of the 19th century. Even though scientific attempts were conducted earlier, they never led to the success. French engineer Hilaire de Chardonnet presented the prototype of viscose to the world in 1884. But for various reasons, his discovery did not receive further dissemination, and it was only in 1892 that chemists from England - Charles Frederick Cross and Edward John Bevan, improved the process of manufacturing and received a patent for viscose. The original name of the fabric comes from Latin, and translates as "viscous" and reflects the process of creating a material from a thick viscous mass of natural (wood) cellulose.
There are a few simple recommendations that you need to follow so that your TOSKIN will be as soft and light as it was on the first day of your purchase:
Wash your TOSKIN in gentle washing mode (for example, manual or delicate modes). We don't recommend washing temperature to be above 30 degrees, the fabric may get a bit rough and "shrink". Do not use laundry detergents with aggressive chemical components. Squeeze gently or set the washing machine spins in the minimum possible speed. When drying in the dryer machine, set the temperature to the lowest possible. You can iron the fabric, but not at very high temperatures, although if you shake and manually straighten it slightly after washing, and hang it to dry, then in most cases it won't need any additional ironing.
